Review: As suspected, Miranda Richardson reads the Horrid Henry stories with panache, providing a wide range of excellent voices for each of the characters so each one is easily identifiable. The added music and sound effects add to the enjoyment of these stories. This audio version would be suitable for listening to as a class or could be used for group reading, whilst the children followed along with the book - that is, if you don’t mind the uncontrollable laughter. I believe it would encourage even the most reluctant reader, to read along, as Francesca Simon’s protagonist, Horrid Henry, has been portrayed so vividly.
The running time of the CD is 1hour ten minutes, with each of the four stories taking just over fifteen minutes to listen to.’
