Review: Yoga Baby (or more accurately Yoga Toddler) is back with a number of moves that are relaxing and calming. This simple but effective book contains a range of basic yoga positions, such as forward bends and “palming the eyes”. Each double page spread features one move, relating it to an animal and containing an illustration of the animal and Yoga Baby in the pose. The pictures are bright and bold, and there is a clear relationship between Yoga Baby and the animals. While this may be read as a standalone story, children are sure to want to emulate Yoga Baby and the poses. Parents and carers will find it useful to refer to the guide at the back before using the book, and the photographs of children performing the positions clarify what is expected of the child.
