Physics: Why Matter Matters

Another pocket sized guide that packs a punch, Physics uses the same format as Basher’s successful Periodic Table. Colour coded chapters are very helpful for visual learners and with snappy titles like ‘Hot Stuff’ ‘Wave Gang’ and Light Crew’, this book has memorability at the centre of its design.

Physics concepts are given a lively manga style characterisation. For example, Kinetic Energy is a member of ‘Hot Stuff’ and is described as ‘a dynamic character who gives pizzazz to things on the move’.

A first person account provides additional information: ‘I am the buzz that speed freaks chase. I am what happens when Mass gets in motion. I adore acceleration – as a thing picks up Speed it gains Kinetic Energy. Skydivers falling out of the sky can almost feel their Potential Energy changing into me by the second as the ground rushes towards them.’ (p.34)

This mini book turns revision into an art and will reach the parts other revision guides cannot reach. I love it!
