Gremlin

Synopsis The pilot is sick. The plane will crash. Can Glenn save it?

Review: A short, tense thriller which will grip most teenage boys.

Glenn has lived in the shadow of his pilot father since he was 10, when he disappeared with a plane over the Andes. He had always warned Glenn that gremlins could cause chaos to planes, and Glenngave up all idea of following in his father's footsteps after he vanished. Now, travelling over the same terrain, Glenn has to risk the past to guide a stricken plane to safety. When he achieves this, there is a suggestion that there was a gremlin beside him - his father - and that not all gremlins are malicious.

Another utterly gripping short novel from Barrington Stoke. despite its brevity it raises serious questions about fate and superstition.
