See Inside Planet Earth

From frozen deserts to steaming jungles our planet is amazingly rich and varied. However it is also under threat. Take a closer look at the challenges facing planet earth today and find out what we can all do to make a difference.

With over 80 flaps to lift this exciting and educational interactive, educational book opens with an image of the place that earth has in space, moving on it describes the gases that surround us and then how these are making the earth warm up. From here the book moveson to view the water surrounding us to the deserts, both hot and cold, up some mountains and along rivers, into changing climates and finally to some advice about how we can make a difference and save our planet.

See Inside Planet Earth is an interactive book which is perfect for readers aged 6+. A lot of information is packed into each page. However, The text is quite minimal, delivered in small chunks and embellished with specific illustration. The overall picture on each page relates to the general topic but, for example, when exploring mountains and rivers the reader is presented with different facts about each, dotted over the pages and accompanied by special pictures under the flaps.

The message is clear:  there are lots of things that we can all do to make a change and if we start now a difference can be made. The book is a well-designed book. . It can only be hoped that its aim can be realised.
