Synopsis: The sun is setting after a busy day, and Maisy and Panda get ready to go to sleep. They sing, read bedtime stories, and snuggle up in bed. But now it's time to turn off the light. Luckily, the shining moon and the twinkling stars will help soothe Maisy - and her readers - to sleep.
Review: Sweet Dreams Maisy is another book about Maisy, the loveable mouse and her friends Charley, Eddie, Cyril and Tallulah. Lucy Cousins' distinctive illustrations are balanced by concise text, just the right amount for a bedtime story. We see the friends playing until sunset leads to goodbyes. As the moon rises Maisy shares a story with panda in her cosy house, then with glimpses of the moon and stars through the window, the pair climb the stairs to bed. After a bedtime song of “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” and a last look at the night time sky, Maisy snuggles down for the night, with the silver moonlight beaming through her window.
This hardback book is a lovely, gentle bedtime story which will delight young children.
