Thora and the Incredible Crystals

Thora - half-mermaid, half-human - is off to the farthest faraway place on earth; Flinders Island. A mystery involving missing peacocks, squidgy dinosaurs and magical crystals awaits. Thora is a feisty young lady, half mermaid with legs instead of a tail. In this, her third adventure, she is sailing with her mother, friend Mr Walters and Cosmo the blue-necked Indian peacock to Tasmania and then on to Flinders Island. This is Cosmo's home and they hope to re-unite him with his family. But strange things start to happen and Thora finds herself caught up in the problems of the owners of The Deep Breath Hotel. Not the least of these is their very naughty daughter Felicity, who Thora makes friends with. Together they try to solve the mystery of the missing peacocks, and to find out why the special crystals are so important. This is a quirky, entertaining read featuring lots of inventive word play.It would probably be useful to read Thora's adventures in sequence to fully appreciate the style and all that is happening.
