Review: I have used Read and Respond books in the past and have found them useful to dip into. I imagine this may be the same for this new series. However, this particular guide looks very useful and I am desperately hoping to try it out at some point in the near future. Whereas before the series was intended to support  guided reading, this version has activities and ideas for whole class shared reading, speaking and listening and advice for differentiation. I would say the planning for the sessions is more useful than the photocopiable activity, which is your bogstandard worksheet affair, and there are a lot of activities that require pupils to discuss the text in detail.
