Then, when they are tired, they get ready for bed and fly home.
‘Otto’s Trip to the Moon’ is the first title in a new series from the author Katherine Lodge and her sister Jo Lodge who is a highly regarded paper engineer and illustrator. Between them they have combined a simple story with appealing illustration and interactive tabs on every page. The words making up the story are simple making sure that it will appeal to the youngest reader and allowing for embellishment. On every page the pictures are the focal point being solid, bright and clearly telling the story for those to young to read. Children can identify characters and clues as to what is happening before pulling tabs to reveal sliding pictures, turn the pages for pop-ups and even lift the flap on the picnic hamper to find out what has been packed.
Tactile, bright and full of colour this book is simple and appealing for babies and toddlers just learning skills of co-ordination and recognition.
