Bonnie and Sam: The Circus Pony

Bonnie and Sam are best friends and spend as much time as possible riding on and caring for ponies in their home town of Currawong Creek, Australia.

This is a simple story, illustrated in colour throughout, of the attempt to enter the local talent night doing trick riding on a borrowed pony. As they enter they find that animals are not allowed in the competition. They deal with the disappointment by planning a family picnic where they can show off their new found riding tricks. This is postponned due to rain, but then all thoughts of disappointment are lost as they get caught up in the arrival of the circus in town, and they get to know the girl, Bella Donna, who does all the vaulting tricks in the horse act in the circus. When Bella Donna has an accident can the girls help, can their audacious plan save the day?

This short read is brightly illustrated, involving and will have wide appeal.
