Boobela is a young giant who used to be shy and lonely. Until she met Worm (who is a worm) when her world changed. 

Review: This is a book split into four different stories about an 8 year old giant whose best friend is a worm. Boobela turns detective in one of the stories and helps Joey find his missing dog. Another story concentrates on Worm and the battle between the Smartworms and the Longworms. Boobela is sent to a swamp to find some plants to help heal her grandpa and befriends a family in need of some help. The final story is about Boobela's grandparents visiting Boobela and taking her to the Fabulous Fun Amusement Arcade as a treat, where Boobela learns an important life lesson from Gran. This book is full of fantastic, colourful illustrations. It is easy to read and will appeal to children in Key Stage 1 and Lower Key Stage 2.
