The Book of Whispers

Synopsis: A book of poems all about whispering. Noise is all around, bring back peace and quiet! Whisper – in class, when watching wildlife, in church, everywhere.

Review: This book – only 42 pages in length – contains a few lovely poems about situations where whispering is important but a number of other poems that don’t, I feel, have any meaningful contribution to make to the subject. I’m afraid that this book left me feeling rather puzzled about what the author was trying to achieve. Lovers of more unconventional poetry might enjoy this book. It would be suitable for 13 year-olds to adults.
