Synopsis: Elmer, the well-known patchwork elephant, makes a new friend, Rose, who is entirely pink and has a tendency to blush. When she is separated from her herd, we learn about different kinds of elephants as Elmer helps Rose catch up and join it again.
Review: This Elmer adventure helps address how elephants may look different, but also that it is no big deal. It makes the point that everyone has a different perspective about what is normal. This thirteenth addition to the popular series is a solid but somewhat slowly-paced tale, with quality brightly-coloured illustrations that young readers will enjoy.
