There Is a Bird on Your Head!

Synopsis :Gerald has a problem when he discovers, that there is something worse than having a bird on your head – its two birds, one nest and chicks on your head. Can his best friend Piggie help him solve this problem before it gets worse? :

Review: Gerald the elephant and his friend Piggie discuss the unusual situation Gerald has found himself in. His head has become the perfect place for two birds to rear their chicks. Gerald is not happy with this situation and enlists the help of his best friend Piggie to get rid of these unwanted guests. Needless to say this tricky situation is resolved fairly quickly in Gerald’s favour but not Piggie’s.

The text is supported by simply drawn illustrations; these convey the feelings of the characters through a wide range of body language and wonderful facial expressions. The author / illustrator cleverly emphasises who is speaking by colouring the speech bubbles to match the characters. The end papers add a final touch of humour.
