Reissued with a new cover. This is an excellent book to share with a toddler, with Voake’s “freewheeling calligraphy” describing and accompanying the wonderful pictures. For example, after “1,2,3,4,5, once I caught a fish alive”, the facing page is filled with three very different pictures of fish: a long thin wiggly fish, a stripy fish and a flat green spotty fish- and there are nonsense rhymes like the Purple Cow.
