Synopsis: Maisy and her friends visit a museum. They see a dinosaur skeleton, a vintage car, a satellite, a doll house, a sabre-toothed tiger and so much more. They also get to have a snack, play dress-up, draw and make music as they explore the museum.
Review: Part of the “Maisy First Experiences Book” collection, this story thoroughly introduces a child to what they may be able to see or do at a museum. It covers all of the bases, although some of the vocabulary may be unusually challenging, with such terms as ‘inspected’, ‘marvelled’, ‘biplane’, ‘Egyptian’, ‘penny farthing bicycle’ etc. The illustrations are as delightful and colourful as always, and it’s always a pleasure to spend time with Maisy and her friends, but this book feels like less of an adventure and less amusing than some of the other Maisy stories.
