Aaaarrgghh, Spider!

Synopsis: All Spider wants is to belong to a family. The trouble is, she scares everyone too much! Poor Spider. How will she ever get people to like her?

Review: This is an entertaining story about Spider and how she trys to become a family pet. Aaaarrgghh Spider! uses bold illustrations and some touch and feel to draw the child in. The story is simple with many phrases repeated so children can join in with the telling. Through this book children begin to understand the importance of spiders in the natural world and to overcome their fears.

The CD, read by Dawn French is hilarious and offers much more than the usual listen and readalong tracks. Also included are songs, facts and even a finger game. This book and the accompanying CD has become a strong family faviourite with crys of Aaaarrgghh spider! frequently heard!
