Animal Soup

Hold on to your witch’s hat - its time for some animal magic! Oliver loves his Animal Soup, especially when the animals come to life... Watch out for elephants, whales and crocodiles in a spectacular, soupy adventure.

When Oliver sits down for his favourite meal of Animal Soup his wand is never far from reach and with it he can play. The soup has lots of different animal shapes, there are whales, hippos, crocodiles, elephants and even apes. Oliver lines them up on the side of his bowl and begins to play. Oliver’s mum tells him off and threatens to take the soup away so with a wave of his wand Oliver ... jumps into a boat and begins to row!

Mum says a magic word and off she goes too, in search of Oliver but she can’t find him anywhere. Fearlessly she looks into the mouth of the whale, then she tries the elephants trunk, next its the hippo and even the crocodile with his rows of teeth does not deter her. Inside him she finds an ape and inside the ape ... its Oliver! All too soon the adventure is over and Oliver is back at the table eating his soup, along with a few friends, but look what Mum has left out ... a box of animal crackers and Oliver still has his wand!

With a funny text telling a very simple story and brilliant bright illustrations this book is a joy to read. The pictures fill each of the pages with vibrant colour, the animals come to life in stunning detail and the humour abounds. Any Mummy’s needing some help encouraging their children to eat will find this book a life saver. It may encourage children not to play with their food for fear of the consequences but it may also encourage them to eat and enjoy it! A great fun-filled and action packed story, Animal Soup is a charming book for children aged from 2 upwards.
