Smugglers' Mine

Stanley Buggles holds the key to the ancient secret contained in the smugglers map. But where will it take him? And who is following on behind? Smuggler's' Mine  is part of the series 'Something Wickedly Weird'.

Chirs Mould's expresive black and white  illustrations  work with and add to the story and characterisations. They are funny and quirky and slightly scarry all at the same time. The story has lots of exciting elements: gold mines, werewolves and pirates but for all that is quite a gentle tale about a boy's love of his Island and his friends. There is a mora to the story and a feel good factor which is mixed with enough tension and twists to make a good story.
