Look At You! A Baby Body Book

Synopsis: Wiggle, tickle, sneeze ... and giggle! Isn't it amazing what a body can do? From learning to crawl to clapping their hands, babies are fast learners! Look at You! explores early actions, sensations

Review: Look At You! is a simple book that looks at everything that can happen to a baby in a typical day. Exploring not just the body, it looks at emotions, the environment and the world as we know it in a new way. Henderson’s text is rhythmic, and reads well aloud, while Howard’s illustrations are warm and really capture the essence of babies and toddlers and their feelings towards life. The illustrations look particularly effective and three-dimensional from a distance. This book could be used with young children who are just becoming aware of their bodies and beginning to understand their surroundings. Older children will also enjoy looking at the pictures and matching feelings to the babies featured.
