A twinklier, pinklier bit of 'Marshmallow Magic'

Posted 20/10/2008 Filed under My Blog comments 7

I often get asked which is my favourite of the books I've written, and I often change my mind, 'cause I tend to love whichever book I've just finished. But I do have a (marshmallow) soft spot for 'Marshmallow Magic And The Wild Rose Rouge', so I was pretty thrilled when my publishers decided to do a shiny new twinklier, um, pinklier cover for it. Yay!

And by the way, it's my favourite for two reasons:

1) because it's set in a lovely small town in Scotland called Ballater, where I spent lots of school holidays (though I changed the name to Balgownie in the book), and...

2) I think it's got one of the best twists I've come up with (don't tell if you know!!)

Mucho love from me to all of yoooo...

AN URGENT MESSAGE OF WOWNESS

Posted 06/11/2008 Filed under Fan Reviews comments 0
An Urgent Message of Wowness is completely fantastically brilliant!!!!!!! I bought it from a local bookstore with some birthday money last year and I think I've read it 3 times since then. It made me laugh so much! I lent it to my friend and she loved it and then I lent it to my other friend and she loved it too! Out of all the characters in your books, I identified with Heather the most – I keep going through random phases just like her and her general un-perfectness just makes me smile!
Thank-you, Karen!
