ImageHappy Chinese New Year! This is the year of the PIG! So if you were born in 1995, 1983, 1971, 1959, 1947, 1935, 1923, or 1911, this is your year! In Chinese astrology a pig signifies intelligence, honesty, strength, and fortitude. Well, I've always had a soft spot for pigs.

Why not celebrate with a Wibbly Pig book.? Wibbly is the title character of a series of picture books for the very young, which are fondly appreciated by adults too. Written and illustrated by Mick Inkpen, the series includes titles such as Everyone Hides from Wibbly Pig, Wibbly Pig Likes Bananas, Is It Bedtime Wibbly Pig? and Wibbly Pig Opens His Presents.

In 2006 Wibbly Pig's Silly Big Bear was shortlisted for the Nestle Children's Book Award. You can read a review here on the Write Away website.
