There are over 50 events taking place throughout London aimed at getting Londoners to discover some great books and all the literary delights that the capital has to offer.
London libraries are participating in a host of author talks and lectures for the Get London Reading campaign. Authors involved include Kate Mosse, Louis de Bernières, Blake Morrison, Jerry White, Deborah Moggach and Charlotte Mendelson. Get London Reading events will include - The Foyles Short Story Festival – Saturday 5 April
- Walking The Book – 4 walking tours of north London’s literature heritage – 29 March – 10 April
- Bromley Reads One Book – 500+ free books to be distributed in Bromley throughout the Get London Reading campaign.
- Living History – Women’s history and memoirs Thursday 27 March 2008, The Women’s Library
- Turn Over the Page – a literature trail in Shoreditch – Sunday 30 March
